Compact Dishwashers

Apartments and dorms are often short on space. Smaller versions of kitchen appliances offer the convenience of their larger counterparts. Their size means they can easily fit into areas, bigger models cannot fit into. This is especially true for mini dishwashers, that can be included in the smallest of rooms. They have become eco-friendly, with many achieving Energy Star qualifications, resulting in less damage to the environment.

A number of different types of these dishwashers are available. These include Built-In, Countertop and Portable models.

1. Built-In

Built in compact dishwashers can be ‘built in’ to the cabinetry of any kitchen. This means they can be discretely hidden away from sight. Most are very quiet, so visitors won’t even notice it’s there. They seemlessly become part of any kitchen, and you can customize the way it looks by adding a door panel which blends in with the rest of your kitchen.

2. Countertop

Similar to many microwaves, these dishwashers can utilize any amount of space. They can be placed on top of a kitchen counter or other level surface. These models can be easily moved from one part of a kitchen to another, or from one room to another. Most, are stylish, quiet operating appliances suitable for smaller kitchens.

3. Portable

These include countertop and models on casters. These versions can be moved easily from one place to another. They are designed to be pushed or carried to different locations, depending on where you would like to locate it.

The type you choose depends on a number of variables. Portable and countertop dishwashers are more suitable for people in temporary accommodation. They can easily be move to a new location. Built in versions, on the other hand are more suitable for people living in their own homes or apartments. If you have a larger dishwasher, the addition of a smaller machine can add to your washing capacity if you don’t need to buy a second large model.
